NICU

After a couple hours in the nursery, your pediatrician and the NICU doctor decided to admit you into the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) since you were still working hard to breathe and Dr. Jackson (the NICU doctor) heard a heart murmur that she felt needed to be check out further.

You were loved and cared for very much while you were in the NICU by your nurses, the doctors, and Mommy and Daddy spent a whole lot of time in the NICU with you as well.  While you were here you received a heart echo (which came back perfect).

By the second day you were taken off oxygen and breathing on your own without working too hard.  After that, we had to make sure you could take all your feedings on your own and then Mommy and Daddy had to take a CPR class and watch some videos before you could get released from the NICU and Mommy and Daddy could bring you home.
