Working too hard to breathe

A couple hours after you were born, the nurses noticed that you were having to work a little hard to breathe.  The nurse took you back to the nursery to have you checked out.  They ended up doing a chest x-ray and some blood work.  The nurses and doctors were guessing that you 1. were having a blood sugar issue or 2. had some fluid in your lungs.

After a little while we learned that your blood work came back clean and that your x-ray showed that you had fluid in your lungs.  We were told they would continue to give you oxygen, but you either needed to cough it up, or absorb the fluid -- which usually takes about 12-24 hours.
